Being a creative feels a little like being an iceberg… folks only see about 10% of the work that we put out while 90% of our efforts are happening under the surface.
I’ve been working hard in the background, under the surface, for the past few months in order to make some truly HUGE changes to The Turquoise Iris Journal and the time has finally arrived to let everyone know!!!
(RE)Introducing The Turquoise Iris Journal
I had an epiphany last year: The Turquoise Iris Journal is more than a magazine. So much more, in fact, that we decided to stop calling it a magazine altogether! Instead, we ask you to think of it as a quarterly journal. You might be thinking, “Okayyy… But aren’t those basically the same thing?”
Not really! A magazine can include just about any topic that the average person might want to read about, especially including trends that come and go. But our readers are anything but average! So we had to create something special, something that has never been done before, that celebrates the art, skill, and talent of creativity.
We are curators of timeless creativity.
Like any professional or academic journal, The Turquoise iris Journal is a publication that you can go back to again and again to examine the intersection between creativity, life, and human experiences. We ask our contributors to dig deep, to use their creative insight and unique experiences to share the kinds of knowledge and advice that other artists want to study and reference in their own creative works.
The Journal is not just a collection of random articles; it’s a carefully curated collection of materials contributed by experts in the field of creativity.
Now introducing… The Turquoise Iris Journal Curators!
Because I wanted The Journal to be a resource for creative minds across the world for years to come, I decided it was time to reach out to some of the most brilliant creative voices I know and build a team of experts who have sooo much to teach us.
