Annie Sloan is an internationally renowned artist, author, color expert, and the inventor of Chalk Paint®, the decorative furniture paint that has inspired a global community of painters, designers, and creative entrepreneurs. An artist at heart, Annie has built a career around making painting approachable and encouraging people to experiment with color and transform the spaces and objects around them.

Annie was featured in Volume 2: Arise of The Turquoise Iris Journal in Arise With Annie Sloan. In the feature, she reflected on how the unexpected pause of 2020 gave her an opportunity to reconnect with her own creativity. With more time away from the demands of running an international paint business, Annie returned to half-used tins of paint, tackled long-awaited projects around her home, experimented with techniques such as potato printing, and rediscovered the meditative joy of simply painting.
