Renee SMith
Curator
Renee Smith is the artist, writer, and heart behind Rainy Day Vintage, where faith, creativity, and second chances come together to tell stories that matter. As a wife, mom of seven grown children, and NaNa to an ever-growing crew of grandbabies, Renee understands how sacred the in-between moments are—and how important it is to create space for both beauty and rest inside a very real life.
Through her work as a painter, storyteller, and owner of Rainy Day Vintage, LLC, she helps others reclaim what’s often overlooked—whether it’s a forgotten piece of furniture or their own creative identity. She believes in taking up space, embracing the mess, and finding grace in the process.
Whether she’s restoring a timeworn buffet, writing devotional reflections, or teaching others how to create sanctuary in their homes and hearts, Renee’s message is clear: you are allowed to show up, create, and be seen.
She offers creative kits, heirloom furniture transformations, and faith-rooted encouragement through her writing, workshops, and growing community. You’ll often find her painting alongside her grandchildren, treasure-hunting with her husband at vintage flea markets, or sharing moments of quiet joy (and paint-splattered floors) from her studio, lovingly called The In-Between.
